Description: For sale is this nice Georgian rococo silver cruet stand made by the London silversmith Thomas Daniell. Although the date and town marks are totally rubbed, the cruet is very much his style and was probably made between 1775 and 1785. The cruet comprises 5 bottles none of which have hallmarks (not unusual) but I guarantee all mounts are solid sterling silver and original to the stand. Unfortunately the top part of the handle has broken off and needs to be re-soldered. As well as this, there are some missing pieces of fine fretwork (please see photos). Each bottle is made of fine cut glass and each is about 18.5 cms tall. The cruet stand has a wooden base, 3 lion paw feet and the beaded rail is about 13 cms in diameter. The bottles are in good condition with no chips, cracks or 'sickness'. The vinegar and soy sauce stoppers are both original and in good condition. Total weight of the cruet stand and bottles is 977 grams. Once fixed, this would be a desirable and valuable article of 18th century silver. Please refer to photos and feel free to ask questions. Shipping will be free in the UK. A reasonable charge for shipping to foreign buyers to cover my costs. The items I sell are fully guaranteed to be as I have described them. I often go on buying trips in the U.K. and to France so keep checking my page. I happily accept returns if you are dissatisfied with an item. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
