Description: Offered are two antique German dolls that could use a little freshening up and TLC. The boy doll is referred to as an "American Schoolboy" and he is approx. 13" tall. The girl doll is a German doll by unknown maker who is approx. 12" tall.The American Schoolboy has a bisque shoulder head on a cloth and composition body. The body is not in very good condition with tape over a torn area on the waist, chipped off thumb and wear to fingers and chipping on the toe areas. His bisque head is fine, aside from an area of his hair that has flaking, see pictures. He is wearing his original outfit and that could use some cleaning. Original set eyes, closed mouth and nice facial coloring. The girl is on her original sturdy five-piece body. It is a heavier body and has some finish wear on the upper legs, see pictures. Original very worn dress, socks and leather shoes. Stitched repair to her shoes. Blown glass set blue eyes. Open mouth with tiny upper teeth. No damage to her head. She needs a wig. A good buy for someone who would like fix them up!
