Description: A charming antique HR Quimper vase which is shaped and handpainted like a victorian foldable face fan. This piece features a naive petit Breton man flanked by flower sprays on one side, dual rows of flowers & dots on the opposite side, and cobalt blue sponge painted feet. In good antique condition with three glaze chip repairs to the petit Breton side, several repairs to the rounded ends of the fan blades, and repaired glaze chips to each foot. Nearly identical to the vase shown on page 80 of Quimper Pottery by Ann Marie ONeill and displays very nicely. It is marked HR Quimper, indicating production between 1904-1922. Dimensions are approximately 4" tall x 6" wide x 1 1/2" deep
