View My Other Items For Sale This nice old clock was made by the E. Ingraham Co. in Bristol, Conn., USA during the 1880's. It features a quality original signed Ingraham 8 day time and strike mantle clock movement (patented 1870's) that is in good running order, keeping time and gonging properly. This clock counts each hour, i.e. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. on an antique cathedral style gong, and announces each half hour with a single toll. It has a nice old dark Ingraham dial with faded luminous numerals and a solid brass bezel assembly that although aged and worn in appearance, is neat looking. ***Please note: The dial is hard to read due to its age wear. I would be willing to install a new antique white paper dial at no extra cost if preferred. I left it as is because many prefer these old dark Ingraham dials. The case is also quite nice. It is solid wood and looks like it was refinished many years ago. It measures 12½" wide x 13" high x 8" deep. ***Notice the full round pillars and the ornamental swinging side handles. Up on the mantle, this is a beautiful and majestic looking clock that will add charm to any room, and is certain to be a wonderful conversation piece. This clock, if properly maintained, will easily last another lifetime. Complete with the key and pendulum, it is ready to place up on the mantle and enjoy. Because clocks require large boxes, Priority Mail is usually far to expensive. It is nearly impossible to find one in "mint" condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is sold as "in running condition," it means that we have test run it before listing it and feel confident that it will run for you.
