Description: Up for sale is this wonderful antique Italian oil painting. I'm not quite sure how to describe what is being portrayed, as there is a woman reading from a book between two males, it appears she and the man on the right are discreetly holding hands, so perhaps it's a courting scene. It is unframed and measures about 18 3/4" x 16". There is some crackelure and little tiny specks of white paint throughout as well as some wear and loss along the edges where it was framed. It is signed lower right corner, Segoni. I'm not sure if this is the listed Artist Alcide Segoni or not. My guess is that it is not as the signature does not match some of the others I have found.
