Description: Antique Petrus Regout and Co. Maastricht Pajong Pattern copper Luster Bowl • Holland. This is a lovely old antique bowl made by Petrus Regout and co. It is marked with a backstamp reading Petrus Regout and Co, Maastricht, Pajong , Made in Holland. This mark dates to the late 1800s. The Royal Sphinx factory was established in 1834 by Petrus Regout. It was located in Maastricht, Holland. In 1879 the image of the sphinx started to be used as a company logo and the name was changed to Perry’s Ragout and Co. in 1887. In 1899, the name was changed to De Sphinx. This beautiful bowl is the Pajong pattern. It is an Asian design with black design on copper luster. There are some discolored areas, crazing and 2 small places on the edge where the paint is chipped. There is some roughness on the interior and missing paint in the transfer as well. Please examine the PHOTOS to see condition. The bowl measures approximately 4.5” tall x 7.75” in diameter
