The Neiger Brothers took advantage of the Egyptian Revival craze, beginning with the discovery of King Tut's tomb in 1922. They further developed more "exotic" lines, with Chinese and Indian motifs and produced marvellous brooches, beautiful beaded necklaces, fascinating earrings and bracelets Characteristic for Max Neiger designs are gold tone metal, cold enamels and use of Peking glass, all those present as well with this beautiful pieces Main hanging piece is cold painted metal, featuring a dragon in relief with an impressive Chinese red glass bead Base piece is like a miniature sculpture in Chinese Revival style Earrings of the Neiger brothers are quite rare and very sought after 1920's into the early 1930's Excellent condition for a piece of this era 6 cm long
