Antique Nantucket Lightship Basket Swing Handle LARGE 1920s

Description: This handsome antique Nantucket swing handle lightship basket dates form the 1920s, possibly earlier, and is impressive in form and scale. It measures: 9.5" diameter, 8" high without handle, 14.5" high including handle and is beautifully made with a warm color and patina. I especially like the double wrapped rim and the concentric circles carved into the bottom wood plate. It's in excellent condition with some discoloration noticeable on the inside bottom, as can be seen in the photos. Although it is note marked by the maker, it has the initials KPT carved into the handle. It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and we are honestly representing the items to the best of our knowledge and ability.
