Description: This is a handsome and well cared-for George III , circa 1810, brass banded Mahogany Peat Bucket, in very good condition, with wear consistent with age and use. 17 1/2" tall, 14 1/2" diameter at the top, tapering down to 10 7/8" at the bottom.There are two 1" brass bands tightly fitting to the coopered mahogany boards, with no cracks or splits, with solid and well working brass hinges at the ends of the rounded, tapered brass bail (handle). The mahogany is 7/16" thick around the top.
