Description: Antique Large and Ornate French Late 19th or Early 20th Century Quarter Repeater Carriage Clock with Alarm and Balance Lever Escapement Movement, Petite Sonnerie in Passing, Grand Sonnerie on Demand, in Fully Working Condition Great clock - quite large for a carriage clock, ornate, with quarter repeating complication. The clock is fully functional. EBay allows only one video uploaded, so I concatenated three videos of different types of the clock's striking - petite sonnerie quarters strike at 9:45, grand sonnerie hours followed by quarters on demand at 9:50 and hours in passing at 10:00. Nice hand painted porcelain dials with no damage. Case has some minor tarnish, quite clean for a clock of this age. Escapement is unfortunately a modern replacement, high quality lever balance type, but not original. This is the only negative that I see on this entire clock and is reflected in the clock's price - French quarter repeaters are highly collectible. I will include a key.
