Description: Antique Primitive Bentwood Pantry Box, Original Brown Paint Up for sale is this stunning original brown circular bentwood pantry box with original lid. This pantry box is big in character. The ends of the curved lapped bent wood sections on the sides are secured with small round nails. Thick walled and well used. On the top pf lid is a hand painted large decorated leaf in gold paint. Fabulous small size for stacking near the top. CONDITION This kitchen pantry box is a soft dry dark brown color with age patina patina that only comes with age, with appropriate wear from decades of use, no nicks, few scratches. All nails are tight with none missing. The box rim has split and decades ago was lovingly secured and held together with twine to prevent further loss and there are no issues removing and replacing the lid. No warping to the wood. It is still very structurally sound for its age. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS The pantry box measures 8 inches in diameter at the lid, 7-1/2 inches in diameter at the base and 3-1/2 inches high with the lid on Please review all photos as they are also an important part of my description and ask any questions.
