Description: Endearing antique doll quilt, handmade primitive, may have been the treasured toy of a child who grew up in a cabin, cottage or farmhouse. Sewn from wool, linen and cotton fabrics--the quilt squares make up a cross design. The wool squares are navy blue, some grey squares are cotton and some are linen. Some squares have seams, the artisan using up every scrap of fabric on hand. The backing is a charming old cotton print of raspberries or blackberries, in muted shades of olive green. Tied off with golden yellow wool yarn. There is one interesting old mended area which seems to have been done with a well-practiced hand. Long ago a little one may have tucked their doll in at night with this quilt. I think it would look beautiful framed, or tabletop; & still good for keeping a treasured doll warm.
