Description: Up for sale is a super nice Antique blown in the mold Fruit Jar complete with the original glass lid insert and zinc metal screw band. It is embossed across the front face and bottom of the base as indicated:( small letters) MASON'S CFJ Co IMPROVED // (base) CJ319 ??. This crude ground mouth jar is free of any cracks, chips, or dings as well as almost no interior clouds or haze . The glass itself is very clean with almost no surface scratches or wear.There is a small chip off the edge of the ground mouth and a manufacturer impurity inside the glass near the mouth edge. The glass lid has a small chip on the top edge and is embossed around the outside edge as follows: Trade Mark Mason's Improved Registered May 23, 1871 / CFJ Co. This beautiful jar measures approximately 7 inches in height including the top of the top enclosure and 3.75 inches across the diameter of the base.
