Description: Very collectible 1860- 1880 antique quilt. I think one name for this pattern was HANDS ALL AROUND. The color ends up being a salmon, maybe originally more of a red that became mellow. The quilting is all HAND DONE at approx 8 to 10 stitches per inch. The quilt is all cotton with a thin cotton batting. You can still see the seeds when held to the light. The size is 85" by 83" The quilt has been FRESHLY HAND LAUNDERED. The piece work is all HAND DONE. The flaws are a couple of spots - one in the color and a couple on the white (remember, we see these under very bright lights to photo). We also see one 1/2" pop in the color as shown, front material only, hard to detect. Binding is good and the quilt is sturdy for everyday use or display. Getting harder and harder to find good ones.
