Can also be used as a centerpiece bowl when you turn it upside down. There is a small portion on the bottom of the cake stand, and it seems to be a chip but it isn't. A bubble was on the edge and it must've popped. You can't even tell really, I'm just pointing that out. Blends in perfectly. Very nice. I looked at this piece carefully with reading glasses and it looks and feels like its one piece. Not 2 pieces glued together. It's incredible!!!
