Description: CONDITION: There is a minute chip on the rim of the slipper that is barely noticeable. This porcelain slipper was produced in France by Samson in the 1880s. The marks are worn and barely visible. It measures 7 inches long, 3 1/4 inches high and is 2 3/4 inches wide. It is made of hard paste porcelain. The decoration is inspired by early Chinese export porcelain. A vessel overflowing with enameled flowers and ribbons decorates the front of the slipper. There is a richly gilded buckle and enameled border around the opening to the slipper. The heel of the slipper has an enameled famille rose design with black background. A single enameled butterfly accents the inside of the slipper. This is a unique collectable object with artistic beauty and charm. #C783 Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay.
