Description: Four Theodore Haviland Limoges cup and saucer sets in the "Rajah" pattern. These pieces were produced in France for Wright Tyndale & van Roden of Philadelphia. In business since 1842, when it was originally known as Steele Bros, Wright Tyndale and van Roden officially changed its name in 1844 and grew to become the preeminent retailer of glassware and china in the Mid-Atlantic region. The cup is 3-5/8" in diameter and 2" tall. The saucer is 5-3/4" in diameter. All of the pieces are in excellent condition and have no chips, cracks, stains, crazing or loss of gold. The Haviland mark--red over glaze--was used from 1904 to the mid 1920s.
