This was truly done by a real craftsman. The interior woodwork is gorgeous, and the design was well thoughtful with the extra storage areas, including three little pullout drawers. Plenty of room for storing the writing pens, pencils, nibs, ink, paper and envelopes with no space being wasted. Felt writing area measures 10 1/2" x 11 1/2". When fully extended unit measures 17 1/2" x 14". The exterior will be attractive to some as is with its wear and loss of original finish. Can be left as it is or if someone wants to strip down a little further it could be lacquered or varnished. The felt needs to be replaced inside as mentioned in the video and felt needs to be added to the bottom, which will be no problem. Being sold as is with no returns. Shipping is $24.99.
