Description: This stunning antique dark blue velvet blouse features pintuck pleats, high neckline and gorgeous full Bishop sleeves with fitted cuffs and slightly puff shoulders. The colour is a deep inky blue, and it is fully lined with striped cotton material, and fastens toward one side and at one shoulder with metal hooks and thread eyes. There are also hook/eyes at each cuff and the back of the neck. The inside has part 'boning' on the lower sections, the length at the back is short but is approx 7" longer at the front (see measurements). Rare and authentic piece, which I believe dates to circa 1890s/1900s.
