Description: ARTIST: Fritz Staehr-Olsen is a well-listed Danish artist, who had several works offered at auctions and displayed in exhibitions. Staehr-Olsen also spent a lot of his career painting for theatres – e.g. in Vienna and the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. He also went on study trips to Egypt, Palestine, London and Italy. PAINTING: Watercolor on board. The painting is a wonderful rendering of a forest trail flanked by fallen leaves in Autumn colors. The light/shade effect is particularly pleasing. The watercolor is dated to 1919. Signed: “Fritz Stæhr-Olsen” in the lower left corner. SIZE: With frame: 51 cm/20.1" * 39,5 cm/15.6". Without frame: 41,5 cm/16.3" * 30 cm/11.8".
