Description: Unsure of the age of this one, could be anywhere from 1800-1960. Based on the irregularity and color and threads, I would place this to be 1930-1940's. This color is so rich and earthy, a blood red with a variegated quality. Some of the beads are more of a brownish orange red, a darker color, and others are medium and a very few are a lighter shade with a bit more orange undertone. If you are familiar with the butterscotch buckskin hanks and the Caramel and Soft Baby Powder Sky Blue hanks, these are similar. They have the same richness and interesting artistic potential. Check out those colors under my seller name to see what I am trying to describe. These measure 1.3-1.4 mm, stack at 30 beads per inch, and the hanks weigh an average of 3 grams each. I do have enough to offer a bulk discount, but when they are gone there are no more ever. These are really cool! If you order more than one item from me, in any color, I will refund any additional shipping over $3.75 regardless of the quantity you purchase. (domestic only; international pays actual cost, and I refund the overcharges. Most overseas shipping costs $14-16 max). I have a huge collection of rare antique micro seed beads and recently acquired more that I am listing in several places, including Ebay. These beads were old store stock from Murano, Italy, and the Czech Republic, whose artisans handmade these beads in the 1800's up to the early 1900's. This is some of the last existing handmade antique bead stock. Additionally, many of the color pigments and finishes, like "greasy", are no longer made. I size them in millimeters and "Beads Per Inch" measurements, based on an online conversion chart. I am also going to show the diameter of the beads and the corresponding size, according to the old warehouse where these beads were made. When listing the bead, I will show the size that corresponds to beads per inch, but also include the diameter size in the listing description. Here is the size chart for diameter on my beads: Size inches millimeters beads per inch22 0.038 .9652 4820 .039-.045 .991-1.143 4218 .046-.052 1.17-1.32 3616 .053-.058 1.34-1.47 3014 .059-.065 1.49-1.65 2513 .066-.074 1.68-1.88 2312 .075-.084 1.9-2.13 2111 .085-.095 2.16-2.41 19 (these numbers are on a range because handmade beads are NOT UNIFORM like the modern ones) I've used tiny antique micro seed beads for 35 years in my restoration of antique purses.
