Description: On offer from our personal collection is this rare Liberty and Co fruit bowl, centerpiece or jardiniere designed by Archibald Knox. Relief cast with an Art Nouveau foliate design. Fully stamped on base with Liberty marks and shape number 0755. The scallop shaped, two-handled bowl is complemented wth 8 large, near perfect original blue and green enamels, four on each side. Illustrated in the Stephen Martin book on Archibald Knox. Made circa 1905. This is quite a rare design and possibly the very best example of it that one could buy. The enamels are in great condition and the detailing bright and crisp. As you can see exterior is in excellent condition and the interior has little pitting. The bowl is 11" wide across widest part and 4.25" high.
