It belongs to the Four Flowers collection (Carnation, Lily, Iris, Rose), where Mucha used a more naturalistic style. 2 of these posters were exhibited as early as 1897 during Mucho's private exhibition as part of the Salon des Cent (Salon of the Hundred), a group of artists around the avant-garde literary and art revue La Plume, who held exhibitions or salons (Salons des Cent) in Paris where they sold your posters. However, Mucha completed the entire set only a year later and sold it very quickly.
