Description: Woodcut or lithograph engraving line drawing taken from the 4th edition Nachgehohlte , published 1737 by Frankfurt, Recksroth. Art by Conrad Faber von Creuznach Also includes some indecipherable penciling on the artwork itself that is dated 1958? The pencil marks are hidden by the matte board. The paper looks aged but I don’t know how old. Took lots of Googling just to find the few details I have. Please note that whoever originally mounted the work to the matte board used tape, and that has left some damage to the back of the artwork where the tape pulled up paper fibers. It’s not noticeable when framed, but if you reframe the work, you will discover it and I want to be thorough in description. Again, the paper is yellowed with age, I can’t find much about other than it’s a drawing that was originally in an almanac and it’s reproduced though the type and age of reproduction is unknown. Framed measurements: 30 X 21.5 inches. Art measurements: about 23.5 X 18 inches.
