Description: For your information: The line in the photos of this lot of solid Australian opals is caused by a vein in the opal, that was originally was filled with water.When the water evaporates this vein then becomes visible. It is not a crack and to my knowledge does not compromise the strength or sturdiness of the stone.The top of the opal is polished and perfectly smooth. Many of the tiny veins are only seen with these camera closeups and not with the eye. Stones with veins are normally priced lower than ones without. Part of a collection of vintage opals that I have had for many years. You are getting vintage prices also! Natural Australian solid opals in 4x6 and 5x7 mm ranges.
