Additional features include edge storage and support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).The camera is equipped with a varifocal lens which provides wide horizontal views (up to 109°) and allows the desired viewing angle to be set during installation. Areas of interest can be monitored closely using the multi-streaming feature, which allows specific regions in the field of view to be cropped and streamed separately for live viewing or recording.Integrated IR LEDs with an illumination distance of up to 25m help enhance night vision, while Axis' OptimisedIR technology ensures an evenly illuminated image by automatically adapting the angle of illumination to the zoom level set. Forensic WDR is also supported, enabling details in scenes with bright and dark areas to be viewed clearly. Additionally, full colour video is captured in extreme low-light levels using Axis’ Lightfinder technology.Configurable video motion detection alarms can be set to trigger recording to the on-board MicroSD card (not included) and also inform users of activity via email notification. The camera’s alarm I/O connector and audio line-in port allow the user to connect external devices to help enhance alarm signalling or enable features such as one-way audio.Remote focus and zoom eliminates the need for hands-on fine tuning and PoE compatibility means both power and network connectivity can be delivered to the camera over a single cable – simplifying installation. With the use of Axis' Zipstream technology, bandwidth and storage requirements are lowered by an average of up to 50%.
