Description: Offering an antique, turn of the last century, Chinese export market cloisonne covered ginger jar. This beautiful cloisonne piece is based on a blue that is close to Lapis Lazuli in depth and intensity. The flower work is in oranges, reds, greens and yellows. Interior is fully enameled. The copper base is enameled and stamped in red paint with the word CHINA. The cloisonne is pitted and shows age appropriate wear. Two areas have bits of enamel missing: some rubbing around the neck of the jar and a small spot about the size of a nickel on a upper part of the jar. I have shown those in close up photos. Random white marks are just camera flash.Measurements: just under 7" in height and 5.5" across.
