Description: BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE WOOD FRAME FOR MIRROR OR ARTWORK CARVED AND BURL ACCENTS. READ I have owned this for many years always intending to put a mirror in it. There is some slight damage in the corner of the front which can be repaired and touched up pretty easily. The carved edges are probably plaster and then applied to the frame. The inner wood accent of the frame is a burl, a slice of very pretty wood applied to frames and furniture, a veneer. Veneers allowed pieces to look more expensive as to make an entire piece in burl would be difficult and costly. It was made between 1850-1900, the Victoria era. 12" x 14" x 2.5 deep. Sold as is as found see photos please.
