Big 6.89 CT Enhanced Brazilian Emerald Precious Loose Gemstone Octagon Cut

Description: I purchased this emerald a few years back at a local gem and jewelry show in a small parcel. This large emerald measures 13x11 mm with a depth of 6 mm. Weighs 6.89 carats Faceted octagon emerald cut with a fair cut grade. This emerald has excellent vivd green color that is saturated and uniform throughout the entire stone. This emerald has been heavily enhanced using multiple methods which include filling to increase clarity, dyeing to increase color and oiling to increase clarity and surface luster. These treatments are common in the jewelry industry but very rarely disclosed to buyers. This emerald has translucent clarity with no color contrasting inclusions. This emerald was mined in Brazil and faceted in Thailand. This is a great alternative for somebody who wishes to own a nicer quality large emerald for a small fraction of the cost as its untreated counterpart, which would often command thousands per carat! I photographed this emerald using both an OTT colored gemstone grading light, as well as standard warm artificial indoor lighting, and outdoor lighting. I did this, as well as provided pictures with background lighting, to show the color and translucency as accurately as possible.
