Description: Birmingham Stove & Range Co. (BSR) released the Cornbread Skillet in late 1967 and was initially produced with a PAT. PENDING ("patent pending") mark, and not a MADE IN USA mark. This item was super successful in 1967-68 and Lodge came out with its "wedge pan" but it had a hole in the middle so it differentiated from the BSR. BSR then took off the PAT. PENDING and replaced it with MADE IN USA. This pan has a "2" on the handle making and was being produced between 1972-73. This particular pan is very nice, has been electronically cleaned and seasoned.
