The type of leather it's made from is shell cordovan (which if you look it up is the highest quality leather). The edges are a but dry (as it was laser cut). The edges and back are unfinished. The item pictured is the actual item for sale. It is a medium reddish brown which is difficult to photograph properly. You can personalize it however you like.
