On Jan 18, 1998, the Boston Celtics staged a special "Robert Parish Day" to honor the greatness of "The Chief" - Robert Parish. Working for a Fortune 500 Company in Boston, we were a business partner supporting the Boston Celtics Franchise. I was privileged to participate in this celebration. As a business partner, Robert Parish presented this autographed banner to me on that celebration day. This banner is autographed by Robert Parish. Fortunately (or unfortunately for collectors), he wrote my name - "Chris" in the autograph. This presentation shows the other players who played with The Chief in the 1980's and 1990's: Dennis Johnson (3); Larry Bird (33); Kevin McHale (32); Reggie Lewis (35); and Robert Parish 'The Chief' (00). All of these numbers are retired numbers in the Boston Celtics organization today. The statistics will remember Parish for playing more seasons (21), more games (1,611) and pulling down more defensive rebounds (10,117) than anyone in NBA history. He was selected one of the NBA's 50 greatest players.
