Description: Introducing a rare collector’s item, crafted from the fuselage of the British Airways Boeing 747-436, G-BYGC, which displayed the BOAC heritage livery. This aircraft, line number 1195, was delivered to British Airways on 19 January 1999 and served for over two decades, becoming an iconic part of British Airways' fleet. In February 2019, G-BYGC was repainted in the BOAC (1964-1974) retro livery as part of British Airways' centenary celebrations, honouring its predecessor, British Overseas Airways Corporation. Originally featuring the “Chelsea Rose” tail design, G-BYGC was later reconfigured and became the last British Airways Boeing 747 to operate a flight on 11 December 2020. Although plans were made for the aircraft to be preserved, it was eventually broken up in October 2023. Now, this majestic aircraft has been immortalised through our exclusive collector tags and cufflinks, created from genuine parts of the aircraft’s fuselage. Each cufflink is made of aviation history, celebrating the Boeing 747’s legacy, the BOAC heritage, and G-BYGC’s unique journey. This limited edition piece is perfect for aviation enthusiasts, representing not only a piece of British Airways history but also the golden age of long haul travel.
