Broadway Limited PRR Blueline HO T1 Steam Locomotive #5502 with Sound & DCC NCE

Description: Like new Broadway Limited (BLI) "Blueline" PRR T-1 No. 5502. Complete with BOTH DC sound (Frankly not that impressive) and I added an NCE N14IP decoder (recommended by BLI) to make full sound and DCC! Runs awesome. Traction tires on rear driver set in great shape. Comes with another set of bagged drivers in the box along with a new unused set. I purchased the DCC decoder and using the BLI 8-Pin NMRA riser block, plugged in the decoder. I programmed to short cab # 003 and long cab # 5502. Out of the box these models had limited sound performance on DC. You needed to buy their DC control box to access most of the sound features outside of chuffing and various compressor and steam sounds. Kind of unimpressive, however if you're a DC user, it gives you a sound locomotive. With the NCC N14IP plug and play DCC decoder (recommended in the BLI manual) now you have access to lots of sounds and a DCC locomotive. No damage or missing parts, all packaging and manuals. Parts bags are complete with tools DC jumper (to put back to DC) and assorted goodies. Box is nice. Some slight wheel wear as this was likely run a little bit. Maybe one lap around the club layout IIRC. Paint is awesome and it runs really well. See video I took. (I had it in reverse to start to show the reverse light and had to switch directions, hence the stop) . Lighting works well and whistle sounds pretty good and is moderately playable. I love this loco,but need to thin my collection. There is one soldered wire on the harness to the tender which I should have put heat shrink tubing on. I pinched it in the shell by mistake. I'll resolder and shrink it before it ships. I personally love Blueline locos and I love NCE decoders. I often re-decoder them for more reliable operation. THIS GETS YOU TO PARAGON 2 LEVEL WITH A BETTER DECODER. No keep alive, but you can add them easily to a BLI board. Google it. Now you get all this right out of the box.
