But before I got ahold of this knife it didn't have much life left in it. This knife started out as used and scratched on the metal and the wood scales. It is now lovingly restored to it's former glory with cleaning, new scales, and scratch removal. Customization takes approximately eight hours because I shape them by hand and pay great attention to making the scales fit flush, and I shape and round and smooth the scales so that the visual effect highlights the Poplar's trippy swirls of anarchy When you hold the knife it just feels good in the hand. It's hard to describe but the new scales are silky, smooth and have just the right grip. I customize knives and make unique creations that I would like to keep for myself.
