Also spotted within the scene is a small rowing boat coming in to dock. The artist has signed and dated the oil to the lower right and the painting has been beautifully presented in a deep-side gilt frame. On canvas on stretchers. Condition The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration caused by a thin layer of dirt across the painting. There are several abrasion marks noticeable around the edge of the canvas, possibly caused by previous frame. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
