Description: Henry Francis Hoyt was born in Athens, Georgia in October, 1833. He was not married in the 1860 Census, when he was in Albany, listed as a Presbyterian Clergyman. He married Emilline Fannie Hines in October 1865 and they had one daughter, born in 1870. He died in Jackson, Georgia in 1912 and was addressed as "Dr." (probably of Divinity). Henry appears to have been the Chaplain of the 10th Georgia Infantry Regiment early in the war, but had resigned by December, 1861. In 1863, he was paid for the month of March as Chaplain of the 2nd Regiment Georgia Cavalry, but does not show up on their rolls. -- SEE PHOTOS !!!
