Description: c.1950s Yougoslavie Macedoine Balkan Travel Poster Yugoslavia Macedonia Cakelja Date: c.1950s Artist: Cakelja Baffetti Size (in): 39.25” x 26.75” Size (cm): 100 x 68 Condition: B+ Linen backed: Yes This vintage original travel poster features Macedonia as one of the six republics that formed the country of Yugoslavia during the postwar Communist era. This poster features a pleasing Mid-Century Modern design with the names “Cakelja Baffetti” appearing signed in the image area and presumably indicating the artist as M. Cakelja who produced other similar Yugoslavian travel posters in the 1950s. The lower right corner of the poster is printed “Graficki Zavod Hrvatske”. This vintage original and rare poster has been professionally linen backed with minor touch up as needed including expert repair to pinholes on the corners and a couple short tears on the edges. The poster shows light creases on the upper left and lower left corners and moderate toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
