Description: On offer is this antique tea cup & saucer set.Manufactured during the Aesthetic Movement period of the last quarter of the 1800s by Powell, Bishop & Stonier (Caduceus backstamp was registered in 1876 - see https://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/821a.htm).Octagonal shaped cup & saucer decorated with a Victorian pattern of black cranes standing in reeds with panels of red seaweed chintz and blue floral banding. Gilt trims. Pattern number 3808.The cup stands 5.6cm height, top rim measures 7.8cm x 6.3cm. The saucer measures 11.7cm x 10.4cm x 1.9cm.Presents well and is in fair antique condition. There is some rub to the gilt trim on the top rim of the tea cup and some light crazing to the base. The saucer has been repaired (quite visible from the back, however given the busy nature of the pattern, it is less discernible from the front). Please consider photos.
