Cover boards corner worn/scuffed, slight glass ring noticeable at bottom of front cover. Spine top and bottom slightly frayed. Hinges cracked but covers still attached by mesh binding. Previous owner pencil writings in some margins. Owner pasted down newspaper clipping of a photo of the author, as well as a short article re: his funeral next to the inscription by the author: " To Mrs. Willema Beaseley (?) in appreciation of her work for the school...... J. L. J. Kirklin June 1912".
