Description: CerMedia Marine Pure GEMS 3/4" Bio Filter Media Product #: MP-905003 Cermedia is proud to be announcing the new MarinePure GEMs. Made with the same formula as our popular 1.5” SPHERES, the GEMs are approximately ¾ inches in diameter. They will be packaged in hexagonal shaped boxes containing of 90 grams. Each box will contain over 1,450 Square Feet (135 Square Meters) of accessible Surface Area. MarinePure GEMs are the perfect size for canister filters, hang on the back filters or nano-tank filter systems. This amount of media is good for up to 70 gallon systems. They will be the perfect solution for ammonia and nitrite elimination and most users will also see better control in Nitrates. MarinePure is the perfect place for beneficial bacteria to flourish in order to remove harmful fish wastes. It will eliminate ammonia and nitrites and lower nitrates. This thin film allows bacteria to flourish because necessary nutrients are immediately available. With the open pores, old dead bio-film is easily flushed from the media and will not plug the media. Water flows through the media, not around as with other denser medias, thus utilizing the most surface area for beneficial bacterial growth.
