The vase features a hand painted landscape with horses, trees, vegetation, mountains and water. On the backside of the vase, written in Chinese characters, is what we believe a poem related to the decoration on the front side. It has some red seal markings on both sides of the poem. We are not able to decipher the writing, so please examine the writing to decide for yourself the meaning. The underside of the vase is a red six character mark indicating the vase was made in Jingdezhen China. We were told that the mark probably indicates the piece was created around 1970’s or sometime during the latter part of the 20th century possibly during the cultural revolution. We acquired this from a store in San Francisco in 1973 and have enjoyed it on a side table in our home. It has never been used except for dried floral arrangements. We are making some changes and would like to find someone who would enjoy having it as much as we did over the years. It is a very decorative piece and would make an attractive addition to your home or collection!NOTE: Use of any wood stands in our photographs is for display purposes only. It measures approximately 6-1/2 inches wide in diameter at he widest portion of its body. The foot of the base measures approximately 4-3/4 inches across in diameter and the rim measures 4-1/2 inches in diameter. The vase weighs approximately 4 lbs. All measurements are approximate, but close. Condition: We carefully examined this item. NO Chips, Cracks, Nicks, Crazing, Scratches, Stains, Repairs or Restorations were noted.
