Chinese Prediction -- nice props for classic cut-thru prediction effect TMGS

Share the magic! ******I will start by saying I am not sure why these props include the Chinese characters, and hence the name "Chinese Prediction". (The instructions don't mention anything about how to incorporate the Chinese characters in presentation, and the prediction is actually of a number, not one of the Chinese characters. But I digress...)The effect and method is an old one. A prediction is given to someone to hold. A paper folder is shown, with lines printed on the outside. The spectator is given a pair of scissors, and is invited to cut the folder in half, across any of the lines -- free choice. The cut folder is opened and inside each half is a piece of paper, which has also been cut in half, of course. The paper has six numbers (and Chinese characters) printed on it, spaced to correspond with the "cut-lines" on the folder. So one number is sliced cleanly in two. Let's say the number cut through is a Two. The prediction is opened and shows a Two. This set of props is nicely made, printed on heavy opaque paper -- and also comes with two different prediction possibilities, in case you are asked to repeat the trick. You do cut (and so destroy) one folder and number slip every time you perform this, so you get 20 folder/slip sets. You really won't need to cut one while you practice your presentation, so figure you can perform this 20 times before needing refills. (I don't think refills are available anymore, but if you took the paper components to your local printed, I am sure you could re-create this easily and economically)A final word on presentation: when I perform this one, I am always asked about the Chinese characters. So my presentation begins with a brief overview of "Chinese Numerology" -- I get the spectator's birthday and do a very quick Numerology reading -- and then I write down a number (unseen by spectators) saying that based on the reading, I am writing her "destiny" number. I explain that whether the reading is true depends on a simple test of destiny. I let the spectator cut through the folder, and she finds that her cut does indeed match the "Destiny Number" that I wrote down.
