It’s in gorgeous condition and will stand out individually, paired with a companion tassel necklace listed separately, or mixed with other necklaces from your collection. Stylewise, I'd call it “Eclectic Victorian Christian”. Research did not find another one like it. It measures 20 inches long (plus a 2 1/2 inch extender in back) with a 3 1/2 inch long anchor stone and cross drop. Don't miss the cute little sea turtle beads all the way around. I didn't spot them at first! There are beautiful faceted diamond-cut long beads in between the turtles and detailed metal spacers throughout. This necklace is not signed. Most of the metal elements acid test as silver plated and/or silver tone. The elaborate detail on the cross is simply perfect. The veiny gemstones are known as ‘Chinese Turquoise’* because the stone is mined primarily in China and other parts of Asia. The smaller 6 round beads toward the back look slightly different in color to my eye and may be dyed Howlite, but I could be wrong (Howlite and Turquoise test similarly). It’s all gorgeous stuff and has the unmistakable feel of well-designed better jewelry. Last but not least, this is a significant bauble, weighing in at 56 grams.
