Description: Offered for immediate purchase . . . . . . is a packet containing twenty (20) ~ Rare Natural Beige/Tan/Taupe & Brown Coffee Bean Trivia Shells (Trivia pediculus) ~ measuring from approximately a quarter of an inch (1/4") to approximately three-eighths of an inch (3/8") long, collected from Barbados beaches. (You may need to wash the salt off some of them!) Resembling miniature ribbed cowries, the exterior of these shells exhibit characteristic natural tan to brownish-pink colors with three (3) pairs of large, irregular dark-brown spots on the dome of each shell. (Please Note ~ The shells shown in the photo are a mix of shades from which packets of these shells will be sorted; however, as no two shells are identical, the shells in each packet will be sorted as closely as possible by sizes and shades.) Shells like these were incorporated into antique Sailor's Valentines, and are valued for creating flowers or borders and accents in contemporary valentines.
