Description: US Army officers dress white uniform with trousers from the Cold War era. This uniform is named to Major General Dennis Lynn Benchoff played many key logistical and staff roles throughout a prolific military career spanning more than thirty years. Benchoff helped to establish new systems for ammunition and ordnance transfer and storage. Later in life he was inducted into both the ordnance and ammunition hall of fame. Benchoff notably commanded the formation and establishment of the U.S. Army Industrial Operations Command (IOC) during the during the post BRAC era. Benchoff was promoted to lieutenant general in 96 eventually becoming the deputy commanding general of army materiel command.
