Description: Colin Buchanan Autographed First Day Cover Famed British Town Planner D.01 A 1965 First Day Cover autographed by Colin Buchanan, dated 1973. Buchanan (22 August 1907 – 6 December 2001) was a British town planner. He became Britain's most famous planner following the publication of Traffic in Towns in 1963, which presented a comprehensive view of the issues surrounding the growth of personal car ownership and urban traffic in the UK. FDC and signature grade high. Provenance: We are privileged to have picked up hundreds of items from the Roger Harris collection. Harris was an avid collector of autographs who spent a great deal of time corresponding with celebrities, asking them in most cases what their greatest satisfaction was. He did this throughout the 1960's and 1970's and we are offering a wide variety of obscure and rare signatures in all collecting genres.
