PEWTER PLATE , SKS DESIGN , 95 % ZINN - beautiful plate from Germany with a 19th century theme; an affluent couple walking a dog down the street of a European city, there is an armed doorman that is dressed in uniform with a sword on his side and a musket in his hands. Another gentleman sits reading a book and smoking a long pipe. Beautiful detail, and a nice scalloped design around the edge. In very good condition with some vintage wear. Marked on the back, “SKS - ZINN, 95%, Made in Germany.” Measure 8-1/4 inches in diameter, has a hook to hang it. There is a manufacturing imperfection on the inner rim above the picture, and some surface scratches from age and use; does not detract from the beauty of this piece.
