Description: This amusing figurine was created by the popular artist Linda Jane Smith for Border Fine Arts Studio's Comic and Curious Cats collection and manufactured in China (2002. It is pre-owned and presented in generally good condition, and will travel to you securely and safely packaged. One of the taps has lost its top, hence the slight price reduction. I have created a substitute swing-tag in lieu of the original. (A1294) "In The Sink" features a cat having a remarkable resemblance to the feckless feline portrayed in "Down The Pan", it is no surprise therefore that these two figurines are often confused. This time it's Jack we find, once again, surrounded by porcelain, in this instance a bathroom sink. Ignoring all the advice that warned against such antics, he decided to try and "balance on the edge".Perhaps he has now accepted that gravity isn't always his friend! Beautifully realised details such as the toothbrush, soap dish, towels and his little mouse companion, only add to the charm of a piece which has become increasingly rare and sought after.
