Description: 1949 Childcraft Set - Blue/Grey Covers Very Unique!! 19 Total Volumes + brochure gift certificate I have sold a number of different Childcraft sets but never seen one quite like this. It shows a 1949 copyright but has blue-grey covers instead of orange. All 14 standard volumes are included (the last two are oversized and have a landscape orientation.) It also includes 2 bonus volumes entitled "Creative Occupations Series I & II" These are oversized softcovers and Series I actually unfolds into a DOUBLE oversized volume. It's Big. There are also 3 orange folders entitled "Childcraft Auxiliary Services" These include things like Activity Units and Classroom activities to accompany each volume. Finally, it includes an 8 page sales brochure that gives details on each volume and has a "Gift Certificate" on the back side. The only thing listed in the brochure but not present is Volume 17 (Through The Year With Childcraft). I have no idea if this is missing or had not yet been issued. Very Good to Excellent Condition. Books are unmarked and appear unread. No writing, names or other markings found. Some foxing along the top page edges and some mild fading to covers, otherwise excellent. Interior pages are sharp and have good color. Appears to be unused. All Books are Carefully and Properly Packed. Shipped in a New Box. Set is heavy and weighs in at 32 pounds.
